It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald Hooker of Eugene, Missouri, born in Wardell, Missouri, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Ronald is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lawrence Hooker and Goldie Mae Marie Hooker (Latham); his son Ricky Dean Hooker; and his sister Rita Sue Gooch. He is survived by: his wife Mary Diane Hooker; his daughter Sonja Bechel (Lucas) of Eugene; and his siblings, Joyce Wilson of Union and Garey Hooker of Lebanon. He is also survived by one granddaughter; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Freeman Chapel (915 Madison St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
