He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert O. Farris and Nellie Farris (George). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean (Ekstam); his brother William "Bill" Farris (Joanie); his daughters, Melissa Farris of Eugene and Theresa Koetting (Gary) of Eugene; his grandchildren, Samantha Miller (Kyle) of Jefferson City, Nicole Koetting of Eugene, Rachel Koetting of Eugene, Jeremy Mattingly of Princeton, IL and Joshua Mattingly of Hennepin, IL; and his great grandchildren, Declan and Lyla Miller of Jefferson City.
