With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Blunt of Essex, Missouri, who passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Blunt and Helen Snider Blunt; his siblings, Curtis "Bud" Blunt and Norma Williams; his daughter-in-law Tammy Blunt; and his siblings-in-law, Liv Provence, Robert Williams, Kenneth Mitchell and Paul Provence.
He is survived by: his spouse Aud Ramstetter; his children, Anthony "Tony" Dwight Blunt of Lynchberg, Virginia and Terri Blunt Smith (Eddie) of Holcomb, Missouri; his sister Judi Mitchell of Chesapeake; his siblings-in-law, Thelma Blunt of Essex, Missouri, Thor Ramstetter (Erika) and Asbjörn Ramstetter (Doris); and his grandchildren, Jayde Blunt (Jon Archer), Ian Dwight Blunt, Matt Smith (Misty), Josh Smith (Lindsay) and Andy Smith. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and by many extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home - Dexter (125 W Stoddard St, Dexter, MO 63841). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
