He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Colbert and Maggie Colbert (Luckett); his wife Lois Colbert; his sons, James Franklin Colbert Jr., Mark Andrew and Clarence Matthew Colbert; and his siblings, Helen, Virgil, Cecil, Clark, Roy, Charlie, Sarah and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Scherder (Jeff) of Bowling Green, MO, Quintin Dale (Brenda Colbert) and Julie Mae Colbert (Dawn) of Troy, MO; his grandchildren, Adam Scherder (Stephanie), Laura Scherder-Lemons (Mike), Brittany Lynn Colbert-Howell (Cole), Brandon Dale Colbert (Bailye) and Dillon James Colbert; his great grandchildren, Summer (Logan), Adam Scherder Jr., Daphne, Zoey Lemons, Kinza, Karson and Kayt Colbert; and his sister-in-law Liz Creech. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
