He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Carnahan and Margaret Elizabeth Bell Carnahan; and his siblings, Margaret Ann Rice, Elizabeth "Jan" Ring and Thomas George Carnahan.
He is survived by: his former spouses, Patty Pherigo and Dana DuRall Carnahan; his children, Rebecca Antle (Kris) of Willow Springs, MO and Simon Carnahan of Effingham; his grandchildren, Dalton Lee Coil and Desiree Coil; and his brother Ben Carnahan (Ellen). He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to American Heart Association.
