He was predeceased by: his parents, Orbrey E. Magness and Lillian Magness (Hopkins); his wife Sarah Jane Magness (Garland); his siblings, Francis "Shorty" Magness, Edna Irene, Flora Mae Hartman, Fern Daisy Durkin, Mary Lou Magness, Sylvia Johnston (Earl) and Freda Mighton (Lee); his daughter Sharlene Thomas (Gene Thomas); his grandson Lonnie Thomas; and also Betty Goforth.
He is survived by: his sons, Cecil Gene Magness (Susan) of High Ridge, MO and Kelly Nash (Russell) of Birch Tree, MO; his grandchildren, Jeanie Byington (Brian), Jacob Johnston, Ryan Johnston, Jessica Johnston, Daphne Terrill, Victoria Terrill, Audra Magness, Gracie Magness, Lilly Magness, Dom Nash and Alivia Appel; and his brother Jessie Myers of Dittmer, MO.. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
