He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Alice Lyon (David), John Dillard (Amy), Bill Dillard and Rachael Williams (Steven); his grandchildren, Cassy Lyon, Cadence Williams, Madison Williams, Emily Lyon, Evan Williams, Piper Williams, Gentry Dillard and Dalton Warren; his siblings, Carol Murrell (Carey) and L. M. McGowen; and his nieces and nephews, Ronnie Haynes (Chris), Edward Haynes, Leeann Ivy (Nick) and Laura Haynes.
