She was predeceased by: her mother Caroline Shapley; her siblings, Claude, Leonard, Claire Howard and Dorothy Knudson; her daughter Cathy Jo Spurgin; and her son-in-law Bill Spurgin.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Mahan (Kathy) of Eminence, MO, Carol Johnson (Rick) of Lebanon, MO, Clinton Mahan (Linda Nichols) of Eminence, MO and Clayton Mahan (Loudonna) of Obion, TN; her grandchildren, Carla Erickson, CJ Mahan, Dusty Titus, Steven Titus, Brooke Jordan, Amber Johnson, Armand Spurgin, Justin Spurgin, Emily Mahan, Amanda Mahan of Jessie Smith, A. J, Nathan Mahan and Jonathan Mahan; her siblings, Lawrence, Violet Lawrence, Lloyd and Louise Welch of Assembly; and her child Church. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Yarber Mortuary-Eminence (18221 Main St, Eminence, MO 65466). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Munsell Cemetery.
