She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Cordell and Nettie Lucille Creech Shafer; her sisters, Mae DeGeare and JoAnn Howarth; her son Richard "Billy" Simpson; her grandson Travis McClain; and her great grandchildren, David William Simpson and Steven Gress.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Simpson (Kim) of Elsberry, Debbie Hubbard (John) of Winfield, MO and Julie Myer (Russell) of Callaway County, MO; and her sister Edna Grindstaff of Granite City, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
