He is survived by: his wife Becky Schieffer of Elsberry; his children, Heather Privett (Kevin) of Bowling Green, MO, Holly Edwards of Elsberry and Heath Schieffer of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Kyle Bange, Jenni Puckett, Rose Privett, Damon Schieffer, Tori Edwards, Emma Edwards, Sydney Cowan, Joe Schieffer, Mason, Lexi and Cru Holland; his great grandchild Hunter Stewart; his siblings, Howard Schieffer (Nancy) of Troy, LeRoy Schieffer (Mary Ellen) of Elsberry, Elsworth Schieffer (Gwen) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Randy Schieffer (Dinah) of Fort Myers, FL, Jolene Mennemeyer of Old Monroe, Tammy Crouch (Larry) of Troy, Nettie Colbert (Dennis) of Eolia, MO and Robin Law (Owen) of Tampa, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Jay Herring (Sally) of Elsberry, Jerry Herring (Margie) of Elsberry and Barbie Gilpin of Aberdeen, MA.
