He was predeceased by: his father Anthony Boedeker; his wife Joan Boedeker; his granddaughter Jaymie Boedeker; and his siblings, Melba Behlmann, Harold Boedeker and Anthony Boedeker, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Gulick (Kris) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Herbert "Bert" Boedeker, Jr. (Jean Ann) of Elsberry, Steve Boedeker (Tammie) of Elsberry and Lisa Hamilton (Mike) of Robins, IA; his grandchildren, Geoffrey, Eric (Allie), Cory, Jacqui (Lee), Nic (Samantha), Christine, Ashley and Stevie; his great grandchildren, Maxen, Ava, Emery and Banks; his sister Doris Nassal of Florissant; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Dickherber of O'Fallon and Nick Sommer (Jackie). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
