Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Hazel Mae Gladney (Elsberry, Missouri), born in Lincoln, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 92, on February 25, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Barnes and Pauline Barnes; her husband Forrest Gladney; her siblings, Doris, Shirley, Mary, Norman and Russell; her children, Jacqueline Jean McKay and Carl Eugene Gladney (Jan); her grandson Chip Gladney; and her great grandchild Matthew Wojciehowski.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Gladney Wilcox (Ben) of Troy, Paula McKay Hoover (Carl) of Texas, Doug McKay (Barbara) of Troy, Dan McKay of Texas, Bill McKay of Wyoming and LeRoy Gladney (Patti) of Troy; and also, Marijo Lagemann and Vickie McKay.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carter-Ricks Funeral Home (107 S 5th St, Elsberry, MO 63343). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (11 Cardinal Ln, Elsberry, MO 63343). A burial will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Elsberry City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Elsberry Health Care Center or New Hope Baptist Church.
