He was predeceased by: his father O. N. Smith, Jr.; his siblings, Darwin Smith (Tom) and Tracy Smith; his grandparents, O. N. Smith, Sr., Edna Smith (Miller) and Nellie Elrod (Walker); and his father-in-law Robert Andersen.
He is survived by: his mother Dora Loy Smith (Elrod); his wife Becky Smith (Andersen); his son Michael Smith (Sydney); his sister Candy Demory (Smith); his mother-in-law Melva Andersen (Foster); and his sisters-in-law, Robbie Kinney (Greg) and Gina Andersen (Gino Costello). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in the Hamburg, IA Cemetery and memorials will go to the family.
