He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Johnson and Grace Ann Shoat (Taylor); his son Alan Wade Shoat; and his sisters, Mary Gains, Margaret Roam, Emerie Gentry and Neva Moroezk.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Shoat of Ellsinore, MO; his son Richard L. Shoat (Trish) of Rector, Ark; and his sister Emilie Scanio (Vince) of Arnold. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
