He is survived by: his sons, Joe Carter of Hunter, MO and James Carter of Qulin, MO; his stepchildren, Patricia Hicks, Loretta Powell, Neva Cunningham, Raymond Williamson, Becky Jackson, Arlis Greathouse and Rodney Greathouse; his siblings, Duke Carter of Oklahoma, Rose Bunn of Hunter, MO and Martha Spurlock of Oklahoma; his granddaughter Joyce Bales; and his great grandchild Malakai. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, several great and great- great grandchildren.
