He was predeceased by: his parents, Cozy Carter and Samantha Carter; his siblings, Bert Carter, Charles Carter, Elbert Carter and Goldie Carter; and his great grandchildren, Jason and Oren Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Wallace; and his siblings, Nathan Carter, May Mangnall and Gladys Stocks. He is also survived by his wife of 63 years and all of his 10 children and their spouses, 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
