He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ballard and Viola Ballard (Leach); his wife Patsy Ballard (Brinkley) of Leeper; his daughter Lana Kaye Ballard; and his sisters, Anna Lee Matthes, Norma Jean Ford, Gale Manis and Lucille Herrick.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Ray Ballard of Ellsinore and Tina Gaye Ballard of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.; his granddaughter Crysten Paige Ballard of Peculiar, Missouri.; and his brother Dale Ballard (Nancy) of Durant.
