He was predeceased by: his parents, A. F. Carter and Flora Carter; and his siblings, Monroe, Frank, Luke, Raymond, Carlos, Carl, Sarah and Viola.
He is survived by: his son Mike; his wife Marcia Carter; his children, Donna Atchison and Calvin Michael Carter; his grandchildren, Michael, Chad, Megan, Nick, Clayton and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Hannah, Jack, Logan, Colt, Ginger and Ryder.
