He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Richards and Renabelle Mitchell Richards; his brothers, Ronnie and Wayne; and his son Jerry.
He is survived by: his sister Carol; and his wife Polly. He is also survived by four loving children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren.
