He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie McNail Barnes and Glen E.; and his sisters, Sharron Hampton and Gloria Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Helen Barnes of Ellington; his children, Howard Barnes (Rebecca) of Ellington and Melinda Barnes of Poplar; his stepson Bobby Barnes (Bell) of Van Buren; his grandsons, Haden, Nick, Alex, Brayden, Jacob, Gabriel and Connor; and his siblings, Glen Barnes of Fremont, Larry Barnes of Redford, R. E. Barnes of Ellington, Edna Lewis of Ellington and Francis Barnes of Van Buren, Missouri..
