He was predeceased by: his parents, Timon Smotherman and Mildred Smotherman (Carter); and his son Samuel Smotherman. He is survived by: his wife Blanche Smotherman of Ellington; his daughters, Selena Detrow of Mansfield, Rhonda Buckner (Scott Tarvid) of Centerville and Robin Gaud (Mark Chatman) of Ellington; his sisters, Barbara McCormack of Walla Walla and Georgia Armes of Protem; his grandchildren, Erica, Leslie, Jodi, Danielle and Megan; and his great grandchildren, Rhett, Ridge, Maddox, Liam, Bannon, Harper, Allyson and Andie. He is also survived by relatives and many friends.
