He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred Standish Van Patten; his wife Mary Jane; his father Loren Van Patten; and his grandson Mark Van Patten. He is survived by: his children, Elkland, Tony (Rose Van Patten), Teresa (James Larimer) and Tina (Kevin Coddington); his grandchildren, Ben Van Patten, Tonya Merrill of Phillipsburg, KS, Mathew, Hilary Van Patten of Almena, KS, Brynn, Will Hendrick of College Station, TX, Patrick, Danen Hammond, Kayli, Wes Potter and Kolten Coddington of Springfield, MO.; and his sisters, Gloria Nelson and Judy Jocelyn.
