He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Schaeffer and Marie Schaeffer (Ott). He is survived by: his children, Cindy Williams, Melodi Graessle (Luke), Misti Barnes (Dale) and Christopher Schaeffer; his grandchildren, Beckie Hyden, Gabe Richter, Aaron Richter, Kelly Backes, Amy Carder, Tracy Graessle, Arah Poston and Christine Distler; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Millie Backes, Oakley and Leo Carder.
