He was predeceased by: his father James Everett Cotten, Sr.; his brother John Henry Cotten; and his great-niece Lily Rose Dial. He is survived by: his mother Ina Cotten (Burris); his siblings, Andrea Wilson (Ron) of Summerville, SC, Patricia Luttrell (John) of Eldon, MO, James Cotten, Jr. of Tuscumbia, MO, Myron Cotten (April) of Eldon, MO, Samuel Cotten (Pamela) of Eldon, MO, Geoffrey Cotten (Jennifer) of Tuscumbia, MO and Lori Croley (Rodney) of Tuscumbia, MO.; and his nieces and nephews, Dallas, Emily, Trish, Galeya, Gina, Kirstina, Elizabeth, Ethan, Chelsea, Caleb, Grace, Lydia, Lindsay, Emma, Mark, Daniel, Victoria, Laura, Nathanael, Kendra, Madalyn, Jacob, Annabeth and Sabrina.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (5 S Oak St, Eldon, MO 65026). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
