He was predeceased by: his daughters, Rebecca Sue and Becky; his siblings, Donald Berendzen, Stanley Berendzen and Betty Lepper; his nephews, Toby Taylor and Mark Lepper; and his niece Deborah Thering.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Jo; his wife Sally Berendzen of Eldon; his brother Wayne Berendzen (Donna) of Broomfield; his daughters, Holly Thomas (Jim) of Charleston, Sandy Drake (Mike) of Overland Park and Mary Jordan (Mike) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Brett Thomas, Maddie Thomas, Lexie Drake, Allison Jordan and Danny Drake; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Luke of Eldon and Susan Doolin of Eldon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
