He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd E Pruitt and Jessie Faye Pruitt (Sandfort); his son Richard Lloyd Pruitt; his brothers, Kenneth and Wayne Pruitt; and his in-laws, Vivian Whittle, Lloyd and Mary Groves.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie Ann Pruitt (Groves); his stepmother Mary Groves; his friends, John Pilkington, Bruce James, Larry Ford, Gale Denison, Robert Jenkins, Charles Bard, Jim Davis, Ronnie Griffin and Steve Hanks; his son Steven Pruitt; his grandsons, Justin Pruitt of Shreveport and Joshua Pruitt of Lakeview Heights; and also Lloyd Groves.
