He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Laverne Berning and Margaret Amanda Berning (Ray); his sister Debbie; his grandparents, Orville and Stella Ray (Price); his wife Suzette Riney; his sons, Derek Scott (Nicole) of Nevada and Dillon Ray; his brother Aaron Edwin Berning; his granddaughters, Airason Mae Berning, Amara, Malynn Pippin of Nevada, Kella Berning of Nevada and Arianna Berning; his siblings, Deborah (Randy Kimes) of Kentucky and Blaine Berning; his nephew Kevin Berning; and his great-nephew Jeffery Hughes. He was also cherished by other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Despite the continued COVID-19 pandemic Scott had an eventful 2021 year.
