She was predeceased by: her parents, Hattie Gibbs (Thompson) and Charley Gibbs; her siblings, Lester, Glen and Donald; her husband Carl Smith; her daughter Valerie Beaty; her grandson Larry Beaty; and her son-in-law Gerald O'Neal.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra O'Neal, Sonny Smith and Lois Smith; and her grandchildren, Rick O'Neal, Dawn Scruby, Dana Anderson, Gina and Jody Smith. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
