She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern O'Neil and Marie Alva Rodgers (Rodenbaugh); her husband Larry Gene Messick; her siblings, Clarence, Joseph, Timothy Rodgers, Sandria May Knapp and Sharon Kicenski; her son Charles Tigner; her grandson Shane O'Neil Ingerson; and her great grandchild Brantlee O'Neil Messick.
She is survived by: her children, Thelma Breshears (Marcus), Sherry Hudson, John Dennem and Richard Tigner; and her siblings, Agratha Daniels and Danny Rodgers. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
