Gertrude M. Swearingin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude M. Swearingin (Edwards, Missouri), who passed away on January 13, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Van and Matilda Anna Bourdan Van; her spouse Asbury Swearingin, Sr.; her children, Thomas Swearingin, Sr., Anne Hall and Peggy Swearingin; and her siblings, Katherine Hook, Arthur Rupley, Gordon Van Blatz and Ivar Van Blatz.
She is survived by: her children, Asbury W. "Jack" Swearingin, Jr. (Anya) of Excelsior Springs, Larry Ray Swearingin, Peter Swearingin (Dorothy) of Loris, Dick Swearingin and Roberta "Susie" Ash of Edwards, Missouri. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
