She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schuering and Florence Hoffman Schuering; her spouse Dr. Thomas Daniel O'Brien, Jr.; her son Timothy Paul O'Brien; and her siblings, Maxine Swain, Edward and Donald Schuering.

She is survived by: her children, Colleen Ann Coram (Steve) of Buckeye, AZ, Patricia Ann Sainz (Russell) of Wildwood, MO, Kathleen Ann Hill of Ballwin, MO, Terrence Joseph O'Brien (Anne) of Lenexa, KS and Daniel George O'Brien (Nancy) of Normal, IL.. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, 21 great- grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the Knox County Nursing Home.
