She was predeceased by: her father Alvis Ferguson; and her siblings, Jane Byrd, Arthur Ferguson and James Ferguson. She is survived by: her spouse Jesse Jackson; her children, Betty Heath (Jimmy), Melissa Hutcheson-Seeber (Steve), Janet Jackson (Dewayne), Jesse Jackson (Connie) and Tim Jackson (Kathleen); her siblings, Betty Essary, Pat Henry, William Ferguson (Kay), Ruth Layer (Richard), Brenda Rundles (Gilbert) and Linda Vied (Marty); and her grandchildren, Brandon Heath (Lori), Blake Heath (Sakinah), David Heath (Melanie), Hunter Jackson, Jessica Harvell (John), Kristin Byassee (Cole), Amanda Jackson, Kyle Jackson (Ashley) and Jeremy Jackson (Crystal). She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren.
