He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William James "Bill" Ponder and Helen Louise Elderbrook Ponder; his spouse Sammie Lea Jones; his children, Andrew Sneathern (Larissa) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Kena Lea Sorrells (Joe) of East Prairie and Lydia Frye (Jeremy) of East Prairie, Missouri; his grandchildren, Jones, Lance, Jackson, Ellyana, Dylan, Morgan and Pierson; his brother Rudy Ponder (Mary Susan) of Sikeston, Missouri; his stepmother Patrice Ponder of Paducah, Kentucky; and his nieces and nephews, Rob Barker (Sandy), Brian Dill, Jenifer Ponder, Annie White (Brian), Billy Ponder (Mandy), Mitchell Aters (Cati) and Andy Ponder (Becca). He was also cherished by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
