He was predeceased by: his parents, Duncan Henry Hale and Mary Myrtle Bailey Hale; his son Keith Hale Hyde; his siblings, Joseph "Tom Dooley" Hale, Leroy Hale, Harold Hale, Johnny Hale, Marion Hale, Margaret Bailey and Martha Richmond; and his nephew Stephen Wesley Powers.
He is survived by: his spouse Jewel Pauline Bryars Hale; his brother Frankie Hale (Dianne) of Ellisville, Missouri; his sister-in-law Connie Powers (Steve) of East Prairie; his grandchildren, James and Sabrina Powers; his great grandchildren, Brianna, Tyleigh and Madison Powers of Dogwood; his brothers, Walter (Lola Bryars) and Donald (Gail Bryars); his niece Brittany Bryars of Bertrand; his brother Pat Bryars of Charleston, Missouri; his nieces and nephews, Kaleigh Green and Alivia Loomes; and his great-nephews, Brandon Patrick (Logan), Dustin Bryars (Connor), Cody Bryars (Logan), Mason Bryars of East Prairie and Barry Paul Bryars of Sikeston, Missouri.
