He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Adkisson and Alice Adkisson; his wife Peggy Sue Marshall of East Prairie; his son Kirk Adkisson; his granddaughter Sara Adkisson; and his siblings, Paul, Ralph, Jack, Harold (Joe), Jerry, Kenny Keck, Thelma and Dean.
He is survived by: his sons, Eddie Adkisson (Marsha Bain) and Gary Adkisson (Glenda Sutton); his daughter-in-law Debbie Brooks Adkisson; his grandchildren, Clay Adkisson (Mandy), Amy Adkisson Farmer (Ryan) and Logan Adkisson Alisa Adkisson (Jessi); and his sister Sue Martin (Adkisson). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
His experiences on the farm shaped his core values which included hard work, a never quit attitude, charity, resilience, sharing, and service.
