He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Poeppe and Julia Poeppe (Nieland). He is survived by: his wife Alvina Catherine Brincks; his children, Aleta Cochran (David) of Adel, IA, Debra Mathes (Paul), Keith Poeppe, Duane Poeppe (Sherry), James Poeppe (Laura), Fountain Hills and Denis Poeppe; and his siblings, Delora, Ken, Phyllis, Patricia and Zeline. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
