He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Helms and Fannie Helms (Newman). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Rowell; his children, Phillip Lee Helms (Debra) of Bald Knob, Hobert Stephen Helms (Cheryl) of Rogers, Arkansas, Peggy Sue McDaniel (John) of Austin and Lea Ann Blok (Michael) of Berryville, Arkansas; his stepsons, Darren Rowell of Eagle Rock and Monte Rowell of Wichita, Kansas; and his brother R. B. Helms of Hartford, Arkansas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Eagle Rock-Mano-Golden Fire Department in memory of Hobert.
