He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lloyd Ervin and Mary Ervin (Piper); his wife Fianti; his siblings, Alice (Richard) and Tom (Bertha); his children, Elias (Janeille), Elliot, Eleah (Niko), Andrew, Brandon and Justin; and his grandchildren, Wyatt, Levi, Keaton, Samantha and Gracelynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
