He was predeceased by: his son Kenneth Higginbotham; and his sisters, Joyce and Doris. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Northington; his children, Ricky Higginbotham Sr. of Nuevo, California and Rachelle Elkins of Pasadena, Texas; and his grandchildren, Diana Plamondon, Corey Higginbotham, Ricky Higginbotham Jr., Tristen Higginbotham, Dustin Higginbotham, Preston Higginbotham, Kellen Higginbotham, Ryan Elkins, Vanessa Elkins, Brayden Elkins, Ashton Elkins and Lexi Elkins. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
