He is survived by: his sons, Darrel Poindexter (Marian) of Drexel and Dennis Poindexter of Archie, Missouri; his brother Jimmie Poindexter (Virginia) of Overland Park, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Vickie Poindexter of Harrisonville, Missouri; his grandchildren, Mitchell Poindexter (Jen) of Houston, Lucas Poindexter (Shannon) of Houston, Michelle Poindexter (Felice Porrata) of Adrian, Richard Poindexter (Tina) of Harrisonville, David Poindexter (Megan) of Drexel and Matthew Poindexter (Cari) of Archie, Missouri; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie, Rylee, Cole, Beau, Cody, Christopher, Emily, Haley and Hannah.
