He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin and Ivalee Bruner (Drake); his wife Pauline Cook; his son Rodney Max; and his siblings, Willma Bruner, Leola Comstock, Ardell Dellinger, Doris Ketchum, Charles and Oren Bruner.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Bruner of Downing, Pauletta Marlin (Max) of Fremont, Rod Bruner (Mavis) of Eddyville and Kim Bruner of Downing, Missouri; his grandchildren, Eric Walker of Albuquerque, Rob Walker (Tanya) of Albuquerque, Bill Bruner of Des Moines, Micah Bruner (Nicci) of Rio, Hilary Roberts (Mark) of Waldorf, Dawn Crozier (Bruce) of Knoxville and Dennis Marlin of Melcher Dallas, Iowa; and his brother Max Bruner (Janet) of Memphis, Missouri. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, many cousins, nieces and nephews and many good friends.
