She was predeceased by: her parents, May Belle (Wheeler) and Isiah 'Zer Stapleton; her husband Phillip A. Brooks; her granddaughter Merinda Catherine Turner; her son-in-law Ronny Phillip Turner; and her siblings, Charles, Ralph, Bernard, Billy Ray, Lounette, Geneva, Bonnie and Edith.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Turner and Ronald Howard Smith; her grandsons, Neil Phillip Turner and Kerey Ryan Smith; her great grandchildren, Easton Phillip Turner and Maylee Grace Turner; her sister Doris Ann York of Michigan; and also, Bonnie, Geneva and Lounette. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
