He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Perkins and Rosealee Ryans Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dyer; his children, Christine, Lori Perkins of Lansing, MI and Paul Roberts of Birch Tree, MO; his siblings, Bonita McDaniel of Michigan and Gary Perkins of Fort Smith, AR; and his grandchildren, Chloe Mize and Aubree Hensley.
