He was predeceased by: his father Louis Townsend Sr.; and his son Michael Ray Townsend. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Townsend (Meekins) of Grandin; his daughters, Vicki Lawrence of Cape Girardeau, Christina Ritchey of Doniphan and Sheila Harvey of Grandin; his stepchildren, Tammy Wilson of Ballwin and Krissy Handley of Boston, MA; and his siblings, Sandra Farrel (Clifford) of Grandin, Sue Knapp of Grandin, Anna Nance of Grandin, Judy Tillman of Doniphan and John Townsend (Tammy) of Grandin. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grandin/Carter County Cemetery.
