He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bryant and Purnice Cato (Allen); his siblings, Pauline Prichard and Coy Cato; and his grandson Nathan Allen Cato.
He is survived by: his wife Lily Cox; his children, Georgia Ferguson (Jeff) of Doniphan, William Leon Cato (Christine) of Doniphan, Rebecca Cato of Doniphan, Barbara Green (Paul) of Doniphan, Sam Cato of Fairdealing, MO, Jesse Cato of Fairdealing, MO and Jeff Cato (Kelly) of Fairdealing, MO; and his grandchildren, Starsha, Sean, Terry, Trent, Jesse, Sarah, Breck and Matthew. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
