He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hampton and Elizabeth Hampton (Bainter); his stepmother Glenda Hampton (Hughes); and his siblings, Orville, Donnie, Raymond, Everette, Edward, Wilburn, Geneva, Margie and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla; his children, Pam Hart (Hampton) and John Lester Trask; his granddaughter Alexandria Trask; his son Michael Shane Trask (Jody); his grandsons, Michael and Jakob; his siblings, Frank, Howard Hampton, Pearl Hovis, Anna Marie Moore and Laura Mae; his siblings-in-law, Jean (Donnie), Evonne Skaggs (Tedder), Leon, Mike and Mitch Tedder; his daughter Donna; and his grandchildren, Eric, Norman, Melinda, Donnie, Starr, Stanley Hall, James Miller and James Bartley. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
He fought a good fight after years of failing health from Parkinson 's disease.
