He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lafayette and Martha McDaniel (Hutcheson); his son Robert Lee McDaniel; and his siblings, Thomas, Joseph, Jean Frazier and Lorraine Chandler.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his daughters, Treva Squires of Frontenac, Kansas and Renita Neibuhr of Fruitland, Idaho; his sisters, Ruth Yvonne Nott of Ocala and Loretha Gammenthaler of Tangerine, Florida; his niece Samantha; and his grandchildren, Scott, Larissa, Shay, Travis, Nick and Meghan. He is also survived by grandnephew Louis Luttrell, Missouri; 19 great-grandchildren.
