She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Herman and Ruby Lucille Wilkes (Hedrick); and her siblings, Billy Drue "Dude" Wilkes and Betty Sue Williams. She is survived by: her son William Craig; her daughter-in-law Janeece Layman; her grandchildren, Christian Jacob Layman and Caitlynn Leah Layman; her sister Donna Kay Thomas; and her sister-in-law Patsy Wilkes. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Perpetual Care Fund for the Crocker Cemetery or the Leukemia Research Foundation in Memory of Nancy Lou Layman.
