He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dean "Bob" Cardin and Mary Ellen Joan Cardin (Williams); his daughter Ellen Jean Cardin; and his sister Kathi Ioane. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Cardin of Dixon, MO; his siblings, Ed Cardin (Tina Cardin) of Dixon, MO and Dawn Tope (Jeremy Tope) of Dixon, MO; and his brother-in-law Nick Ioane of Dixon, MO. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Fairview Children's Home in Springfield, MO or the Little Prairie Bible Camp in St. James, MO.
