He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Guy and Jessie Muriel Slone (Bullock); his sister Judith Ann Slone; his brother-in-law Thomas Lowell "Tommy" Anderson; his niece Melissa Kay Slone; and his parents-in-law, William Harold "Bill" Jones and Virginia Lea Jones (Baker).

He is survived by: his wife Linda Slone; his children, Bradley Slone (Gwen) of Dixon and Alison Keck (Aaron) of Dixon; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Dudenhoeffer (Brent) of Columbia, Alexander Keck of Dixon, Montgomery Keck of Dixon and William Slone of Dixon; and his siblings, Joy Leah Anderson of Dixon, Mike Slone (Judy) of Dixon and Dwight Slone (Rhonda) of Vienna.

“Duayn was a few months older then me, but we were in the same grade at Dixon high school. This guy was always having fun no matter what was going on. I was glad to count him among my friends. I found out that Duayn was ill just a short while before he passed away. I did get to stop by his house and pray with him before he died. I remember asking God to accept one of his good Baptist children into his kingdom. Howard W. Clark”
